VIENNA, VA--The Senator coaching staff has named catcher Scott Scudder as the Senator of the Week for last week’s games.  Scudder, a freshman at Cumberland College, had a number of key hits for the Senators last week.  In four games last week, Scudder went 7-12 with four doubles and four RBIs.  He added a much-needed boost to the Senator offense with his extra base hits. 

            As a freshman at Cumberland College, Scudder saw limited playing time this past season, but he is looking to take over the starting catcher spot for the Patriots next year.  He saw action in 11 games and collected three hits, two RBIs, and seven total bases on the season.
